Position: Integrative Psychotherapist
Lesley Kollikho is an Integrative Psychotherapist and has been working with children and their families for ten years, both as a teacher and in a therapeutic capacity. Graduating with a BA in Psychology in 2006 and she completed her Early Years teacher status in 2011. Lesley trained for her MA in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy at The Terapia Psychotherapeutic Centre, she is also a registered member of United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
Lesley practices using an integrative approach, incorporating psychodynamic theories of attachment with person-centred values of empathy and acceptance. She views the therapeutic relationship as the most important factor that will enable a person to heal and change. Lesley facilities this change using a combination of reflection, art, sand-tray therapy and other creative interventions, based upon the individual needs of the client.
Lesley provides guidance on a psychological advice panel for the ‘Make a Wish Foundation’ which grants wishes to children and their families who are suffering with chronic or terminal illnesses.
Lesley has worked with individuals with a range of emotional, educational and physical challenges and has a passion for helping young people and their families achieve the best possible outcomes in life.
Lesley also works in private practice.
