Karis Martin-Schmieder

Karis has been part of Ellern Mede since 2015, working across governance and quality to support safe, thoughtful and continually improving care. She leads the Governance, Quality and Reporting function, integrating corporate governance, quality improvement and patient safety with a strong emphasis on learning.

Karis holds qualifications in corporate governance, healthcare quality management and psychology. She is passionate about strengthening mental healthcare and organisational culture, and is committed to fostering environments where patients, families and staff feel heard, respected and meaningfully engaged in ongoing learning and development.
