James Harrison

James Harrison is the Autism Lead for the Ellern Mede Group. His deep understanding of the needs of patients, including those who are Autistic, ensures all Ellern Mede patients are well cared for. He is trained in ADOS-2 and ADI-R and is applying for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Autism Course to improve his knowledge and skills. James began his career as a healthcare assistant in a residential school for children with autism. He completed studies in Applied Nursing for Learning Disabilities and Social Work at Sheffield Hallam University. He has experience in the secure mental health sector, CAMHS PICU, and has also worked with patients with personality disorders, James is also a Charity Trustee for Emotion Dysregulation Autism.
