Dr John Kamara, Consultant Psychiatrist Ellern Mede Derby, has many years of clinical and managerial experience in the field of psychiatry. His experience ranges across sub-specialities including eating disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism and learning disability, as well as generic CAMHS services, where he has spent the last seven years as Consultant Psychiatrist in both out-patient and in-patient services.
Dr Kamara explains: ” I am a self-motivated and dedicated professional with experience in team management in both clinical and educational environments. I have set up and run CAMHS PICU for complex cases with multiple co-morbidities, often with complex family dynamics to consider. I have used a bio-psycho-social approach which resonates well with our multi-disciplinary team at Ellern Mede.”
