Job Description

Join the Ellern Mede Group of four hospitals to further your experience in marketing. As a graduate Marketing Officer you will work with leading experts in the field of specialist eating disorders care to increase awareness of eating disorders conditions, how those affected can seek private and NHS help, and how our tried and tested treatment models bring about life-changing recovery for many young people and their families.

You will work partly from home and partly on site across the group which has bases in North London, Rotherham, Derbyshire. The group is rapidly expanding and we can look forward to opening additional hospitals. We serve the NHS as well as accepting private patients.

Duties include digital communications across website and social media channels, content creation, video and photography co-ordination, internal and external communications, event planning and hosting, merchandise, supplier-management and many other general communication and marketing activities.

You will work collaboratively with hospital management across the group. We pay a competitive salary from £22,000 to £25,000 based on your experience.

The Essential and desirable skills you will need:

  • Education to degree level
  • Marketing Qualification, preferably in social media / digital marketing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Website Content Management
  • Compassion, motivation, enthusiasm, flexibility and self-awareness
  • DBS check to requirements
  • A positive warm manner with colleagues, patients and their families


As an Ellern Mede Marketing Officer, your daily interactions with colleagues, their knowledge of their specialist fields and the impact of their care on patients and their families, play a big role in informing your approach to marketing communications to potential clients and stakeholders. Your communication skills are invaluable in helping hospital management to communicate both within the group and externally to a wide range of interested parties including the NHS, the health sector, regulators and the general public. You will manage all communication channels including hospital website, social media channels, and you will produce materials such as videos, presentations, imagery, articles, press releases, advertising and signage. You will help represent the group at public events and exhibitions.
