EDIC is like PICU
Our treatment approach focuses on physical and mental stabilisation. Weight management and restoration is supported by an intensive therapeutic programme which often includes working with families or carers during and post discharge. Our High Dependency Unit service can be described as Eating Disorder Intensive Care (EDIC) which is very similar to what is often called a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
