Ellern Mede Barnet is a recently opened modern new eating disorder hospital which delivers highly specialised care to children aged 8 – 18 in Rowan Ward and adults aged 18 to 25 in Ash Ward. Services are offered both privately and in partnership with public funded health authorities throughout the British Isles. We offer a full range of specialist therapies as well as innovative, evidence-based short term programmes, inpatient, day patient and outpatient services.

Flexible short term programmes for children:
We have channelled our 16-years of specialisation into new approaches intended to offer the possibility of a shorter inpatient stay supported by day patient follow up. We use family-based approaches that have been evidenced as effective in clinical practice worldwide. This is a unique blend of flexible inpatient and outpatient support. This is immediately accessible to private patients.
Specialist ward for women over 18:
Women aged 18 to 25 will find this welcoming therapeutic environment a safe space either to transition from CAMHS to adult care or to seek recovery as a first admission. This is an open-ended programme but we strive to deliver results supporting discharge within a four week period. All services offer outpatient follow up.
Ellern Mede Barnet is in a private but central location easily accessed by public transport. It offers spacious family dining rooms and garden space. Visitors are welcome and we have plenty of private meeting rooms in which patient and family visits can take place.

Ways to get to there
Warwick Road is well served by local buses including numbers 107, 307 and 326 to and from High Barnet underground train station. The station is the terminus of the High Barnet branch of the Northern line and is in Travelcard Zone 5. It is the northernmost station on the Northern line and is situated 10.2 miles (16.4 km) north north-west of Charing Cross. The next station south is Totteridge & Whetstone.
