Co-production strategy

At Ellern Mede, we have a strong appreciation for lived experience and the opportunity to collaborate with current and former patients and families/carers to develop and improve our services.

Recovery is a collaborative process and creating meaningful opportunities for reflection and co-production is central to how we operate.

Our Patient Inclusion Lead and Expert by Experience play a dedicated role leading on our co-production strategy and ensuring lived experience informs service development and design, team culture and quality improvement.

We have the following forums to support this work:

  • Lived Experience Advisory Group
  • Co-production group
  • Community meetings
  • Reducing restrictive practice meetings
  • Joint Patient & staff reflective space
  • Family & carer Governance meetings
