About Ellern Mede
Ellern Mede was founded over 25 years ago, as a specialist eating disorder service in Mill Hill, North London. Since then, Ellern Mede has grown and evolved as a service, and developed significant expertise working with individuals with a broader range of complex and overlapping needs. We now have three inpatient hospitals in North London and South Yorkshire, offering CAMHS, adults and transitions pathways.
We have worked with hundreds of individuals to achieve remarkable outcomes and lasting recovery. Our multidisciplinary treatment includes medical, nutritional, psychological and pharmacological support. We take a holistic, personalised approach offering a range of therapies based on individual needs, including family therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech and language therapy. We also support individuals to engage in meaningful activities to reintegrate back into community life, such as education, volunteering, vocational and creative pursuits.
Our mission is to provide comprehensive to achieve meaningful and sustainable recovery from even the most complex illnesses. We never give up on a patient and are committed to working with each individual to explore the right pathway forward to suit their needs, strengths and goals.
